Ronnie! I watched FGR! I loved it! I'm so not a 'chick flick' person but I loved the friendships that these women had. It was a little tough to see the amazing Cicily Tyson as an oppressed black women AGAIN but Mary Stuart Masterson was not annoying & Mary Louise Parker is so good in everything that she's in. Jessica Tandy comforted me (as she did w Kathy Bates) when she was telling her abt menopause. My mother died in 2009 so I asked my grandmother advice on it and she (ever the martyr) said, "I don't remember. I had too many kids to worry about it", which I don't blame her for as her last pregnacy was at age 46. She started having kids at 19 & stopped when her body said to. Bless her & my grandpa; they kept it going until nature was like 'Enough, now'. I thought they didn't use birth control because of the whole Catholic thing but she said that she was going to name my uncle Ortho Novo (an old school BC brand) because she used it & she got pregs anyway. She cracks me up!

Mary Stuart Masterson is on my 'you suck' list for getting to be Johnny Depps love interest in 'Benny & Joon', at the HEIGHT of his Depp-ness (forever Winona) but I'll try w FGT.
