i'm just seeing this now lol and idk why they chose eeyore....austin likes to keep things weird and maybe winnie is too mainstream for the city? and yeah most of the women here are healthy. its like a "thing" lol

Maybe it's the Winnie the Pooh of it all that bugs me. It's basically about a bear who's a compulsive eater. I read that Austin is the healthiest city in the country for women.

2017-12-20 15:59:22 +0000 UTCyeah the heat sucks but its not all that bad and there's plenty of bars and natural water areas to cool off in. and eeyore's fest is a trip. literally the whole city comes together to trip together. there's music, food, live bands, and i think we do sing "happy birthday" to eeyore at some point. the age range is from toddlers (to which i side eye those parents) to older adults and they're all having fun together.

He told me that the hippies do this drum circle type thing called 'Eeyore Fest' to celebrate the depressed donkey's (from Winnie the Pooh) & it, inexplicably, infuriated me. I'd love to try the BBQ & hipster beer, though.
