Does anyone remember the book "The Rules" from the late 90's that was this fucked up throwback how to book on how to get engaged? I swear, the women in my church straight up shamed me for the first 5 years of my 20's for not being 'light' & bouncy enough for my boyfriend. That book claimed that a woman always needs to be 'a breath of fresh air' to a man and to never share your troubles w him & to always be a joy to them. Smiley EMBODIES that with her cluelessness and weird privilege (that is not a white girl; she said that she doesn't know her heritage: do 23 & Me, bitch, & create some depth).

How the fuck are you a fake steam punk chef who forages w a hippy gf? It's like he binged every episode of Portlandia & has tried to embody every character on that show. But Smiley Local just offends me & my grumpiness to it's bitter core. I will be pissed if she & her GD, fucking berry jam heavy dishes win!
