#844 RHOC: Lie-za With a V

You know, my first full season of watching RHOC was Kelly Dodd's first season when they went to Ireland. It was my understanding, then, that Vicki had something to do w/ a cancer lie or something so no one was talking to her (I'm still unclear what, exactly, she did). I felt bad for her because it really is hard to watch someone get ganged up on and then have a rabid opposum monster shout "FUCK YOU!" an inch away from her tear streaked face. I didn't see where all of the wagging of heads and disgust for her came from. After watching her this season, things have become more clear. Now that her 'crew' is talking (probably by the will of production) to her again, Vicki has displayed some of the grossest characteristics of any Housewife, in my opinion, and seems to be foolish in the most profound sense of that word (I mean, even I know that going after Brooks for money is folly and I'm a MESS; why wake a sleeping sociopath?). Vicki seems to posess an illogical arrogance that defies any of her realitiee yet allows it to inform SO many of her interactions with others on the show. Her behavior is religiously & fundamentally hypocritical, she has a seemingly unearned sense of her own 'goodness' & dominance, and she seems to lack the ability to be moved to empathy. Vicki seems judgemental, cliqueish, selfish, cruel, and lacking of any social grace that doesn't seem to benefit her or her own interests. She seems to have ZERO self awareness to the point of contradicting herself with each sentence but unable (or unwilling) to see her own hypocrisy. Yet, YET, VG displays such a deep insecurity in every exposed area of herself and her life that she becomes ENDEARING, be it by way of pity or as a point of relation. WHO and WHERE did they find this lady? I am fucking perplexed....To me, Vicki is the living, breathing definition of the phrase "WHAT THE FUCK?". And, truly, I say this all with love.
