#870 RHOA: Factory Smackdown

Comments

And, sincerely, here's to a very healthy & happy life for Porsha, her baby, and her fiancée. It's great that she's gained financial independence. Children seem hard as hell to raise and she's a brave person. Hopefully, it'll mature her & make her aware of the impact what she does has on others.

I haven't watched any full episode of RHOA this season though I watched a bit of Greg Leakes seeing a doctor (God bless him & his family in their battle &, hopefully, triumph over illness) & a bit of Mama Joyces' INSANE excuse about the lemon comment, which was AMAZING! I liked Kenya & would've found it interesting to watch Sheree post Chateau construction & mid love affair with Tyrone the prisoner so there's no real draw for me this season. However, I did watch a bit of this episode but had to change the channel. I think this may be it for me & RHOA. Here was my final push away: watching Porsha, who is in her late 30's and is about to have a child, STILL at a point in life where she shouts at people for being 'fake' & calls names. She makes a big deal out of an ex saying hello to her partner & gets kicked out of a party. She then yells at a woman who she claimed would drug & sexually assault her in a dungeon by way of rumor without regard for the possible consequences such a rumor could bring about. WHY is she embraced on this show? Along w Joe Gorga's constant referrals to 'pussy', THIS is an example of some of the worst that the Housewives has to offer society, IN MY OPINION. The silly storylines of the 'she said' sort in RHOA past have taken a sad turn, have gone below the belt, & is actively, IN MY OPINION, not great for our culture. Initially, Porsha claimed to have a trust fund & is descended from a great civil rights leader. She wanted, in her first season, to work for his organization. It was so compelling to watch this young woman grow into her own person & strive to shed the weight of her dominating husband. HOW did she become the woman who thinks that the Underground Railroad was an actual train and, IN MY OPINION, the embodiment of the worst characteristics that any cast member can offer? This, in my opinion, is where the franchise becomes a poor example and a detriment to women and, in this case, women of color. Bottom line, RHOA has stopped being compelling or even fun for me. Oh well. Here's to RHOBH being less dark and to the long wait for Dallas and silly storylines about the struggle to get pink dog food on grocery shelves!
