I WAS SO pleased that somebody else was a little disgusted by a) the blaringly obvious fact that Eliza Limehouse’s family wealth was built on the backs of slaves, b) the GLARING need for these people to stop calling their land “plantations”, and c) how CRAZY it is that they named that fucking dog “Strom”! I’m sorry but naming that hunting dog “Strom” is some aggressive shit! It needs to be discussed. I love you for pointing it out! I mean, yeah, anyone with a 4th grade education can figure out how many of these peoples’ family achieved their privilege but Eliza gives me that guilty diarrhea pit in my stomach for watching this show. I just want to enjoy this show, see Gizmo the Cat, & go to bed. Don’t REMIND us of the ugliest parts of American history.
