Below Deck crescendos the blatant misogyny of season seven when Kevin kicks sand in Kate's face. Pure class, that one.

#1146 Below Deck: Drowning in Kick Sand

I’m going to post this on Discord as well: Are you two telling me that Tanner’s mother is claiming that Tanner was bullied? By whom? Look, I’m sure, if I decided to be on one of these shows (never), no matter how much of an ass I was, my parent would, publicly defend me so I see her position. This is what parents do; they protect & defend their kids. I have no children but I’ve seen it and totally understand it. I would probably do the exact same thing, right or wrong. BUT I just don’t see how Captain Lee’s Internet commentary or what he said on the show was inappropriate. He gave his opinion. It’s his job. And who bullied Tanner? He’s a 26 year old man with a business degree who had NO problem humiliating Simone by sharing their intimacies with co workers and on television without her consent. Is the backlash for that behavior bullying or people recognizing bad behavior & discussing it? That is not trolling. I think bullying would be people threatening him, approaching him directly on social media with negative commentary, or catfishing. Tanner said on “WWHL” that the first thing that he noticed about Rhylee, a boat captain & his coworker, was her tits. As a woman, that does not upset her even a little bit? It’s hurtful. I’ve had my body spoken about like this TO MY FACE by men and it hurts. It’s not complimentary. It’s very unkind & belittling. I understand that these shows are casted, filmed, & edited with a certain narrative in mind but Tanner said this after filming. If she reads this, I hope she considers the other perspective & tries to understand how upset & shocked some people, especially women, may feel by Tanner’s behavior. It’s hurtful. I’m sure she’s taught him to not behave that way & to be gentlemanly. I’m sure she’s spoken to him about it. I hope that she’s helped him with how excessively drunk he got. And I’m sorry if she was hurt because she did not sign up to be a cast member of the show. But, I don’t know if the words “trolling” & “bullying” apply to what Tanner may be facing. I just hope this is a learning experience and he tries to see other perspectives.

I seriously think I heard Kate call Kevin a baker as well. I thought “baking is difficult but whatever”.
