How to Record Guitar

Hello friends!!

Merry December to you all. Hope you're all doing well and getting excited and ready for holiday SZNNNN.

It's been a wild few weeks on the road. Cancun was incredible. Props to any Patrons i saw out there! That was an amazing festival.

Todays video is all about how i record my guitars. Acoustic and Electric! I'll go through how I recorded my intro guitars for Flatline Reprise as well as some fun ways to record acoustic just through your iPhone!

Hope this is useful for you guys. As always let me know what you wanna see next!

Once I'm set up in my new place/studio, I want to really dig into some Mixing and Mastering tutorials so stay tuned for that!

Love you guys!

*also loved that quick "fade to black" cover you did when you pulled out your acoustic ;)

have you tried recording with single coil pickups? the annoying part i have to deal with is dealing with that buzzing sound, how would you get rid of that when recording?

growing up playing rock guitar the best thing about becoming more proficient in producing was finally getting those fat guitar stacks. if you ever want like super rock tones THU by overloud is a super sick amp emulator suite and comes with the slate package!

People may already be familiar, but selecting Options -> Reduced Latency when Monitoring is a godsend for removing that annoying latency when recording through DI.

Oh damn! thats sick! Imma look into that cos thatd be great. Honestly didnt know you could adjust the intensity of it?!

Another tip - if you right click the waveform of your recorded guitars in the sample view, and go to Quantize Settings, if you set it to ~75-80% and click ok, Ableton automatically quantizes the sample to the grid a bit and inserts warp markers to each of your notes, I feel that it eases the workflow quite a bit when trying to make loops more tight :)
