Oh my God yes, and then he sprayed the control panel!! ARGH!!! And he's like "Why don't they tell me these things BEOFRE they're done?" Why don't they tell you not to spray electronics with water?? I guess because that should be common sense!

2022-03-31 22:25:37 +0000 UTCI should've saved my comment for this, but I live in Florida and have a small (21 foot) boat, and that shit was totally Tom's fault. The footage would've been nice for Captain Glenn, but he also had the GPS tracking to look at and it told him the story he already knew. We have an alarm on our boat that goes off when you're getting close to shallow water. So, I think what Glenn meant by "you have 10 minutes between drifting and the alarm going off" was that they were anchored deep enough that they had to have drifted for approximately 10 minutes before they even got to water shallow enough for the alarm to go off. I.e., Tom should've noticed they were drifting and woken up the captain BEFORE the alarm went off, DEFINITELY once the alarm went off, and the Captain should NOT have been woken up by actually running aground!!
