2023-07-25 20:29:55 +0000 UTCSo...quick boots on the ground. You mentioned wondering what criteria go into hiring Stew's. And a friend told me that someone she knows was hired for Below Deck Med. And then they found out she had a serious boyfriend, and they let her go before filming started because would be less likely she'd hook up and create drama. Apparently many people actually in the industry now consider being on BD a death knell for your legit career in yachting, which might explain why they have so many people who are bad at their jobs like Magda from Down Under S1, and/or who they had to drag back to Yachting like Hayley, or are doing the reality show circuit, like Camille.
