I think Cedric was trying to be vauge when he gave Harry the clue on purpose and I could see why. The question is in the book does it say that Harry and Cedric were alone. I mean you wouldn't want someone malicious such as Snape or Draco Malfoy walking by while he was trying to drop the hint to Harry.

I actually always thought it wasnβt βvery evenβ to begin with β¦ Like Harry literally said, βItβs dragons πβ & Cedric was all like, βItβs not a bad place for a bath π β¦ β I always thought, βNo, Cedric say, βYou have to put the egg π₯ IN the water π¦!β β THAT would have been a MUCH better hint, in my opinion. π€¨ And donβt forget, Fleur is at least 3 or 4 years older than Harry β¦ So, I think she would not be βcatching feelingsβ for Harry β¦ I think she even says, βBut heβs a little boyβ, doesnβt she, when his name comes out of the goblet?? π€ She would definitely respect him more, but I donβt think she would have a crush on him, especially if she sees him as a βlittle kidβ still β¦ π
