That being said, I do have to follow up and expand on my own point by saying that, since she was excommunicated, she has started her own healing journey and does recognize that Mormonism is a cult, and was started by charlatans and has and does do real serious harm to the people within its ranks. So at this point… Why would she ever expect Lisa to invite her to any of Jack’s mission celebrations? She’s ridiculous to think that Lisa would invite her based on her current opinions. I do think that Lisa should sit down and hear what Heather has to say about how this mission might change Jack or just talk to her about how she might better understand Jack because Lisa is already so far distanced from him because he sees his parents as not living by true Mormon principles. He’s made that pretty clear… So I think Lisa actually knows that Heather has some valuable advice for her and doesn’t want to hear it.

2023-11-09 18:55:36 +0000 UTCJust have to remind y’all that Heather‘s husband left her and that’s why she was excommunicated, even though he was allowed to stay in the church. Even though she might not have been happy in her marriage, she did not want to get divorced. She admits she was trying to exercise some independence, but her husband Divorced her with no warning, and that’s why she was excommunicated. That’s trauma. That’s like real trauma. So… I would be frustrated with the Lisa situation also. Not necessarily specifically with Lisa, but I would be really frustrated that Lisa gets to do whatever she wants and is still loved by the church. It’s not her fault… But if I was Heather, it would eat at me. 💕 Opa!
