What gets lost is Jessel and Pavit come from a culturally different marital relationship. For Erin and Sai to assume a Desi couple would exactly mirror their marriages is ignorant and petty. Jessel and Pavit clearly have a rooted friendship in their marital base, and one that’s not exclusively rooted in sexual intercourse. Also, Jessel had miscarriages, went through IVF, and had twins. That takes a toll on a woman’s body.
