A bit of UK info here from a UK fan! Someone else above mentioned the plug thing - we have a lot more voltage in our sockets here so good idea to just get a UK USB plug. Also you can really easily get up to Scotland on the train from Birmingham! The UK is small and pretty straightforward to get around on the trains :)

2024-04-03 23:28:53 +0000 UTCI wanted to give some quick unsolicited adaptor advice as an American living in the UK. You can ruin electrics with a bad adaptor. Get a UK USB plug that you can directly connect multiple usb cords to for iPhone, iPad, etc. They’re like £10-15 here. I wouldn’t bring my MacBook at all, but If you have to, I would buy a plug that slides onto your own charger from home. When I used to use an adaptor, my electronics would overheat bc the power is double what we have in the US. Also the chocolate, especially Cadbury, is WAY better here! M&ms are different here too, Ronnie. Regular m&ms are subpar, but peanut ones (don’t kill me) are better here. Ok unsolicited advice rant over!
