September 2025 Status Report

Well, v27.1 being a smaller, quicker update got a bit away from itself, between the Minoni content addition and the previously mentioned issues with setting up the Matango art. Of course, there was also time spent finishing up the shop run by Cadence and Melody, who are the ones I plan to give a fight encounter to in v27.2, in further preparation for the Aphrodesia district stamp.

After the v27.1 update itself, there was a quick hotfix, then I worked on post-update launch stuff, as well as bug fixes. I considered doing a v27.1b update for more bugfixing, but ultimately decided to just bundle that into the future v27.2 update.

As for the older and now unused game assets, starting from the next update, there will now be a link to download them in the game's Credits. I probably could have done that for v27.1, but hindsight be like that.

While setting up a new victory scene by Val, we found out that victory scenes really needed some tune-ups to be less jank to work with. They've been bonked a bit with a crowbar to better function with how the game normally works.

Also, Nara's sex CG will have an anal variation next patch. Since it will be a variant of the existing art, it will naturally still be by NickBeja.

Speaking of art, I should have a new teaser soon! I've also gotten the ball rolling on more commissions, including some from new potential artists. This feels especially important, given I can't keep waiting for Otani to return forever. Hopefully, that all goes well in helping to provide assets that the game still needs.

There is a non-zero chance that there will be a few updates down the line where some characters will be added without art from the get-go, instead of which they will use character cards with text descriptions until they get art. This is in part to ensure that they get their standing art and cg in a more streamlined manner, given the long-term setup I started with has run into a number of issues over the game's production. But still, ideally, I'll be able to keep things planned ahead and have art ready for new enemies and characters before I start working on them. As it is, there is still a fair amount of art I have ready for future characters, including some by Otani.

Art reflections aside, v27.2 should be ready by the end of October, and as mentioned, will feature a fight for the succubus shop duo in preparation for other Aphrodesia District content. And as is usually the case, the update will likely contain a number of other assorted things, ranging from single scenes to more far-reaching content! So I hope people will look forward to it all.
