Izumi could talk to Demian about his insecurities, but there's nothing Demian can do that he hasn't already done... He proves he finds Izumi "valuable" and that there's noone else everyday, if, in spite of that, Izumi still has "I'm not good enough" feelings, it's also something he needs to work on himself. Feelings are very complicate, especially when you have a "troubled" base as is Izumi's case ;;;;

Though from my personal experience, some bad thoughts are hard to let go, and sometimes something comes up that triggers emotions you thought were gone already (x_x)
