Yeah, we'll have to take a raincheck on the cloning, lol. I also really enjoy tackling unexpected questions, and love that there's such a broad mixture of serious worldbuilding questions and goofy kinky questions-- it would be far less fun if I was only sticking to one side of that. I did think about voting, but after my RP-modding experiences, I know that sometimes a popular vote makes some people feel excluded, among other tricky situations. (Also, I get the feeling that it would result in the tickle-themed questions being picked more than anything else ;P). Making it random (but with an option to resubmit your question to boost the odds) feels like the fairest way to make sure everyone gets their shot. Still, if trying this winds up not working out, there's always the option to try something else out down the road. We shall see!

Thanks for the support, Hake! If I'm understanding your suggestion right, it -might- be a little complicated for me to implement. I don't want people to feel like there's nothing for them to do until their two questions are answered, which is part of the reason I thought of offering people the choice of either submitting a different question or boosting the chances of a question they already asked of being chosen. I also will not be picking two questions by the same person per month (so if I pick one question, and then draw another that's from the same person, I'll put it back and re-pick until I get someone else). BUT, a limit on how many questions can be submitted is definitely something that can be implemented later if it winds up being necessary.

That would work, at least until science figures out how to clone you, which, I reckon, is still a few years away. Drawing from a hat allows you to determine your acceptable amount of work and I have to admit part of the fun of ask the gang is seeing how you tackle in stories the odd questions you are confronted with rather than if you were to simply choose a safe, albeit interesting one. Another option could be that submitted questions would be posted here to be voted on by the group as the one most of us would like to see answered. I mention the vote method because it gets everyone involved in the selection and could move a particularly good question out of the hat. Perhaps the vote method could be done seasonally rather than monthly. Just thinking out loud and the dogs are wondering who I am talking to.

the system you choose is good and fair Kit ! it give a chance to everyone but it can have a 5th step in your process ^^ a way for nobody wait undefinitly see his question answered is : you limit the number of question at 2 max/person, these person CAN'T ask an other question as long theyr BOTH questions are not answered, if during the hat-pick you fall on two question than come from the same person you just do an other hat-pick for choose an other question from someone else by eliminate the second question of the first one than have been choose . It will be more clear with an exemple : Imagin i ask Two question , lancemanylance ask also two and Mighty ask two too. We all will not be able to ask an other question as long our 2 question have not answer. Now you pu our 6 questions in the hat and when you get one you fall on mine, you remove my second question of the hat and do an other pick than will give you the question from lance or mighty. on my side I'll can't ask you a new question until you answer to my second. if we are in a case where you choose more than 2 question you do the same process, select only 1/2 question for each people you'll pick from the hat. Glad to that if any new user come ask his 2 questions after the first hat-pick he'll have 2 chance at time to get answered and us only 1/2 so it give the best probability to the new user ^^ So i advise you to choose to how many question you'll ask in function of number of people participate, exemple : if 2 peaople participate you do only 2 hat-pick, if it have 3 you do 3, if it have 4 you do 4 but is to you to fix you a limite for not have a case where you have 10 people participate and so must do 10 hat-pick XD... Special case is if it have more than 6 person participate well you can choose to just do 2 or 3 hat-pick than will give to each perosn 1/2 to have an answer if it have anything you not understand tell me, of cours eyou can still keep on your curent new method, it's you than see cause it's you than will draw, we not want you overcharge yourself Kit >w<
