S3x03: pages 22~25 + sketches.

Kei has every right to be mad, but she isn't. She internalized her responsibility so much that in her head there was no other possible choice, so she can't blame anyone. On the one hand, good for her because it allows her to have a better relationship with her mother and it keeps her from lamenting over things that cannot be changed, but on the other hand, not so good for her because her childhood was taken from her and she just accepted it.

Regarding Izumi, he's currently more concerned about his relationship with Kei than about his mom 💧 He always knew he had been dead weight on her, but he didn't know to what point, and she's the only family he loves to the point of wanting her in his life (he does love his parents, but he wants them at a certain distance because he doesn't feel close to them).

I like to over analyse my own characters because it helps me understand what they go through and why they are the way they are ♥

Also, I really wanted to draw Izumi as a teenager with his school uniform (^v^)

I'm very sorry to hear you had such a bad experience growing up... All children should be given the right to be children. I think receiving an apology in general is very rare 💧 People rarely want to admit they did wrong to such a big scale.

This side plot resonates with my upbringing... 1) parent prioritized their spouse over wellbeing of their children. 2) taking care of siblings at a young age influenced my interest in having kids. The difference is my parents are not at a state of mind to acknowledge anything. It's interesting to read what the mother said to give me an idea of what that could look like... it's been so abstract and I don't know what I'd want to hear if ever they do acknowledge it. Inma, thanks for carefully thinking out this conversation. I enjoy the way you develop stories.

Love

I really enjoyed drawing these moments of them ♥
