Fun fact, that book they are sitting in front of is an actual place you can visit. Shuji Terayama memorial. He was one of the most productive and provocative creative artists to come out of Japan. He has been cited as an influence on various Japanese filmmakers from the 1970s onward. He has a whole Memorial park in Misawa Japan...the city TOri is from is called "Hisawa" and is basically based off of this city.
