About to Pop!

Hey everyone! New story here very loosely inspired by "About to Pop!" By Vulcano1 from Deviantart. The premise was too good. Aside from the name and most basic aspect of the premise, if you're familiar with the original piece, you'll see I've really changed it up. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter One

Peter was on the hunt and it wasn't going well. He was overdue in putting out the next installment of "About to Pop!" and people were getting antsy, both customers and investors, the latter of which wasn't good. Customers would wait if they had to, especially for the content Peter put out, investors on the other hand were less inclined to be patient.

"What the fuck?" He grumbled to himself through his mouthful of sandwich. "Nine months into the pandemic, there were boatloads of pregnant guys stopped for cash, now there's none!"

Peter hated to admit it, but it made sense. Back when people had been stuck home, they'd been having a lot of sex, resulting in lots of unplanned pregnancies. With a lot of people finding themselves out of work, he didn't have much trouble finding knocked up guys willing to "have some fun" in front of the camera in exchange for some dough. Good dough, to be fair…

Peter found a lot of success around college campuses. He was willing to shell out a pretty penny if the guy was handsome and the belly was big enough, and there'd been some doozies… He let out an appreciative grunt as he fondly recalled the nineteen year old male cheerleader who'd gotten knocked up by his quarterback boyfriend and how big his breasts and belly had gotten as a result. That installment of "About to Pop!" remained one of the most popular, and for good reason.

But now, nothing. Everyone was free to be out and about and/or they were being more careful. With inflation now almost out of control, even (but also, especially) college students knew now really wasn't the time to bring a child into the world, planned or not. Back during the "heyday" of the early pandemic, Peter had been able to find enough willing guys to put out an "About to Pop!" every other week for months. He'd been raking it in whereas now, nothing.

Three months had passed since he'd released the last installment because simply put, Peter couldn't find a guy who was "about to pop" if his life depended on it! He'd been to five different campuses and nothing. There were no irresponsible pregnant guys willing to just slightly put out on camera. There weren't even any guys with just a slight belly for Peter to convince to work with him so he could put out something called "Gonna Eventually Pop!" or something. There was no one. Nothing. God damn it!

As he stood and threw away his emptied sandwich wrapper, Peter figured maybe the time had come to get back to the way things used to be for him… He hadn't always been a producer of software, pregnant porn… No, he'd once earned his living somewhat more honestly as of all things, a real estate agent.

He'd been a good one, and made really good money off clients' sales and purchases. He continued to do so in rent from two properties he'd purchased himself, well, one of them at the moment as the other was without tenants…. But then the pandemic hit and everyone stopped buying and stayed put (and started having lots of sex,) hence Peter's unusual career change. Be it a house or the "chance" to make some money simply "having fun," Peter could sell just about anyone just about anything, so long as he had a damn buyer!

Nick and Alex were on the hunt and it wasn't going well. They were overdue in finding an apartment they'd be able to afford that would also be big enough for them as they transitioned from just a married couple to a family.

A home, town or single family, was unfortunately out of their budget and therefore, out of the question, so they were looking at bigger apartments. They were hoping to move into a three-bedroom, but every one they'd seen cost more than they wanted to pay, as did most of the nice two-bedroom units, and those that didn't, had months-long waiting lists.

"What the fuck?!" Alex grumbled as he and his husband headed back to his car following their most recent visit to a leasing office without signing a lease. "Why is everywhere nice so expensive?"

"Because I'm a public school teacher and you're a law school student, working part-time at Target," Nick replied as he waddled along, both of his hands trying to support his aching, lower back, thrusting his swaying, twin-filled belly another couple inches out in front of him than it already stuck. "That makes just about everything and everywhere, expensive!"

"How is it possible we 'make too much!'" Alex huffed as he made air quotes with his free hands, "to qualify to live in any income-restricted places?! Makes no damn sense!"

"I agree, but what can ya do?" His heavily pregnant husband sighed and shrugged, causing his breasts to wobble and bobble about atop his pregnancy.

"No… the question is, what are we going to do now?" He asked as they reached his going on twelve years old Honda CR-V, and he opened its creaking front passenger door for Nick. "I'm sorry, babe… but I told you we should've started our search for a bigger place the second after we found out you were pregnant!"

"That you did," Nick confirmed. "But what good would…" he halted his response as he climbed in and tried to get situated, noting as he did how close the front of his belly now came to touching the dashboard. "Would that've done us?" He eventually finished. "We had even less money then than we do now!"

Alex had the somewhat annoying tendency to become impatient when he got annoyed, and the present was no exception… Once he was sure his husband had gotten all of his bulbous self inside the car, he closed the creaking door on him and then headed around to his seat behind the wheel. Alex was able to do so at a pretty good clip because unlike Nick, he didn't have a third trimester, twin pregnancy and all it entailed, to deal with, the lucky bastard…

"So…" he sighed after he'd started up the car. "What do we do now?"

"Easy," Nick replied as he turned and looked at him.

"Easy, huh?" He grunted again. "Do tell…"

"We go get lunch, 'cause we're starving!" Nick informed with a smirk as he gave the top of his big belly two correspondingly sized pats for emphasis.

Alex sure as shit didn't want or mean to, but he still laughed. He had to… He knew he could be uptight and tense, but he also knew he could always count on his husband to lighten and brighten his mood, no matter the circumstances, the present being no exception.

"And what are we starving for now?" He asked as he put the CR-V into reverse, doing his best to ignore the whine it made as it went into gear.

"Just a sandwich," Nick replied with another shrug. "Or two. Probably two…" he admitted with another nod and laugh.

"God, I love you!" Alex proclaimed with a shake of his head, actually not even hearing the whine the transmission gave as he moved it into drive. "I might not be able to get you an apartment, but I'm at least good for a couple sandwiches, which I guess makes me lucky you didn't marry me for money!"

"I love you too. But, babe..?"

"Yeah..?"

Nick sighed. "I guess it's safe for me to finally admit it now…"

"Admit what?"

"That I did marry you for money!"

"What money?!" Alex scoffed as he drove them out of the parking lot of the apartment complex they wouldn't be moving into.

"All the money you're going to earn as a big, successful lawyer!"

Despite his still fairly foul and annoyed mood, he laughed again. "That's still a few lean years away… Here I was thinking you married me for my Target discount!"

"Oh, that too! Most definitely!" Nick nodded.

"Me and our checking account are well aware!"

"Speaking of my favorite store…" he continued with a wag of his brows. "What're the chances you'll keep working there once you start practicing?"

"Slim to none!"

"Why?"

"An attorney working at Target on the side so his husband can keep getting the employee discount?! No way! The second I have my first check from a firm in hand, I quit!"

"Yeah, I figured…" he sighed. "Still had to ask. But in a way, that means our family planning, or lack thereof, might not've been so bad after all?"

"Nope," Alex vehemently shook his head. "Still bad. Shit, in fact… We should've used my damn discount to make sure we always had condoms!"

"It's a little late to be worried about condoms now, don't ya think?" Nick grunted as he looked down at his breasts and belly.

"Yeah, just a little…" Alex sighed and shook his head again, though he did smile this time as he reached his right hand out and over and placed it on the left side of the biggest of his husband's three swells (five if his ass came into count too.) "So I gotta get you two sandwiches, huh?"

"Yes, please," Nick nodded.

"What about one, but make it a large?"

"I guess I could make that work, but…"

"But what?"

"Well…" he sighed as he placed his left hand atop Alex's right. "We're trying, but we're having a hard time choosing between tuna and turkey, so…"

"So you three need two."

"Yes, please," Nick repeated as he gave his husband's hand a confirming pat. "But just two regular sized ones."

"Oh, OK…"

"Please!" He scoffed. "Try to not sound so grateful! They're cheaper than larges!"

Alex grunted. "Not even here yet and already our boys are trying to eat us out of house and home!" He shook his head.

"That's one trait that's safe to say they got from you!" Nick replied. "Until I became your personal baby incubator, I used to eat like a damn bird, thank you very much!"

"You were a much cheaper date back then…"

"Yeah, I know…" he sighed. "You still love me now that I ain't so cheap?"

"I love you more now."

"What..?" Nick gasped. "Is that even possible?!"

"Believe it or not, yes," his husband confirmed as he turned into the parking lot of the strip mall their favorite deli happened to be located in.

"It must be if you're taking us to Frank's! You know they have the best tuna!"

"So you claim, but I can't confirm, seeing as you know I hate the stuff!" Alex stuck his tongue out. "Liking it's a trait the boys clearly got from you!"

"That and/or their good taste!"

"They got their good taste from both of us."

"Did they now..?"

"They did," Alex nodded as he parked, forgoing a closer spot for one that didn't have a car in it to his right so he'd have enough room to open Nick's noisy door all the way. "I chose you, didn't I?"

"You did," Nick nodded back as he watched his husband walk around the front of the car to come help him out. "You even put a ring on it," he needlessly reminded, showing off his ringed finger once his door had been opened.

"Remember, I promised I'd get you a nicer one someday."

"I remember, but no need," he shook his head. "I like it."

"Just like it?"

"It's cute!" Nick teasingly shrugged.

"What it is is small," Alex corrected. "It's too thin, the diamond's nothing but a fleck…" he shook his head. "That's why I promised you that someday, you'll be getting a nicer one."

"See, you did know married you for…" Nick paused to huff and puff as he exited the CR-V massive belly first. "Your money!" He finished once he was back on his feet, tugging at his shirt to make sure he didn't enter the diner showing too much belly.

"It's a good thing you have the patience of a saint!" Alex said, closing the door once Nick had waddled clear of it.

"You have to when you're a teacher… Those first graders put it to the test every day!" The doubly pregnant educator groaned. "But in a way, I owe them."

"How so?" Alex asked as he came up next to his husband and wrapped his right arm around his wide waist, his forearm coming to rest on the warm shelf created by Nick's pregnancy-fattened ass.

"Well if they didn't test my patience all the damn time, I probably would've gone crazy from being this pregnant already!" Nick replied with a chuckle and a shake of his head as he looked down and out at himself.

"And you still have…"

"Don't remind me!" He cut Alex off as they approached Frank's door. "I'm not actually a saint!"

He might not've been, but to Peter who was talking out, he was an angel sent from on high. He didn't know Nick's name yet, but he already knew he was going to be his next star, so long as he was able to convince him and his husband to work with him before he gave birth, because if anyone looked like they were "about to pop," it was Nick.
