It all started with Nor opening up enough to ask Gull for a massage (something she loves but can't give to herself) and he gladly gave it to her, it's permission to touch her almost freely after all. Nor would ask for them more frequently until they turned out to be very sensual to her, it got her in the mood. Especially with the most attractive person in her eyes touching up on her.
Now Norael sees the sex as an extension of the massages, it's just higher up on the pleasure scale. She insists there's no romantic connection to this, and it's just two teammates helping each other relieve stress. However, Gull isn't used to treating mating activities as a source of relief to tension but after journeying and fighting alongside someone as reliable as her he's willing to try new things to keep her spirits high and just less grumpy in general.
