Laurel: This is a picture Drak surprised me with, isn't it beautiful? I was amazed to see it, his love for Gull is matched only by mine! π
I suspect Drak has a thing for Gull doing hula dances and a tropical aesthetic in general but while Gull really loves the water he doesn't have particularly strong ties to the beach. He's just as content in mud and that's usually closer to his home anyway.
In modern AU I think he's tried surfing before and likes to spend time on the beach but isn't exactly a beach bum.
