Aurora & Gargoyle

In our universe there's stones filled with magic energy of people who have passed away. These "royal stones", as they're called, range from common to incredibly rare based on the elements or concepts they embody, of which the user of the stone can control.
Someone in control of a powerful stone can alter reality itself, which is why they're also incredibly dangerous.

Here are two examples of Nor being taken over by two stones at separate points in the story.

Aurora
A form taken on by Nor when she touches the royal stone of knowledge.
At the top of a snowy mountain the aurora borealis circles the crystal spire. It's light formed by thousands of spirits who perished seeking knowledge. 

In this form, Norael becomes larger but more slender. Instead of two horns, there are six, her fins become longer, and her scales turn from blue to an ethereal blue, purple, green color, reminiscent of the aurora borealis. Her hair and tail grows as well.

Her mind is altered the most. Ancient knowledge floods it and once the shock settles she acts like a completely different person. Intelligent and tactical, she fights not with her muscles but with strong magic.

Eventually, she finds a way to extract the royal stone from her body, saying that's it's too much. It's too painful to know the things that she knows. 

She returns to her normal self and doesn't remember anything but there are still traces of magic in her.

Gargoyle
In the depths of an ancient dwarven city, Nor comes into contact with the royal stone of perseverance. It is filled with the will and stubbornness of the dwarves that perished there, the inhabitants of the city who refused to give up and fought til the very end as the city was destroyed.

This stone melds into Nor's body with ease. Her muscles bulge as she becomes huge and sturdy and her scales become rock-like with pieces of dark gemstones. Her horns and tail grow thick.

In this state she is steadfast. Her stubbornness knows no bounds. For good or bad she won't be swayed. She is as unmovable and strong as the mountain itself. She knows that if she doesn't budge eventually she will get her way, and thanks to the magic of that stone, that becomes true.
