Norael Revamp
Added 2020-06-22 20:59:51 +0000 UTCSo for a while I've been thinking about redesigning Nor in this way for several reasons:
- MUCH easier to draw/animate (especially if we're going to do a comic!). A problem I've been having is that I get exhausted just thinking about drawing certain details of Nor, not that I don't like her dragon-y bits but if it reaches a point where it's not fun to draw something has to be done.
- Removing the scales, horns, tail and all that highlights her other little features, mainly her scars, her piercings and such, and now the few scales left on her face.
- Makes more sense story-wise. A wizard cursed her into a the form of a Runeman (humans in our setting) and now she definitely looks ruman. It'll be more of a surprise to other characters that she's a dragon.
She does still have her armored form, and I'll continue to draw her as dragon-y as I like if I think it fits for an illustration. How draconic she appears is tied to her animalistic emotions (coupled with her fighting the curse) so she can look different sometimes.

Very cool 👀 Gives me major Guts vibes! Also as an animator, god I agree with the feeling of needing to simplify an OC just so drawing them isn’t a got dam pain lol
