Caid & Norael - Scumbags

Caid, a drachmen operating as a ruthless thug in Magog, the City of Plague located within a shadowy corner of the Pristine Dominion. The type who gets what he wants by hook or by crook and with his ambitions set high he'll use anything and everyone within arms' reach for purely personal gain. It goes without saying he's the last person you'd want to meet alone in an dark alley, as it's dark alleys that he was born in and molded by, but these days he has a high enough reputation to command a private group of lesser goons to  do this for him. 

Norael met him after her fallout with Sunna (her first ex), during a very dark portion of her life. The two of them were assholes on an equal level and they quickly recognized this in each other. Their relationship started out as a friends-with-benefits kind of thing and vaguely developed into a more serious relationship. We say vaguely because these two didn't exactly talk about their feelings much and never put a label on themselves.

Most of their time together was spent gambling, drinking, stealing, and fighting. Generally just behaving like bandits.

For Nor this was a rebound relationship. The initial draw was the kinship she saw in him, he was someone with the same type of outlook in life as her. Kill or be killed, survival of the strongest, that kind of stuff.  They were two assholes accepting how fucked up they were together, and fuck everyone else. They also craved the same type of rough BDSM sex and Nor wanted the shallow intimacy that it brought, while Caid on a more simple level wanted to dominate someone as powerful as Nor for the rush it brought.

It was good for a while but... yeah, perhaps not surprisingly the relationship turned unhealthy. Caid in particular took advantage of Nor's then-deteriorating mental state and constantly reminded her how much of a piece of shit she is, just like him.

It got worse and worse until Nor finally dumped him in an especially violent fashion, this depiction of the pair being previous to the deformation Norael delivered to Caid's hand, a parting gift he'll never forget.

Caid still believes Nor is just as bad as him, he gave her a scar to remind her of this, and he will go to great lengths to prove it to her should they ever meet again.
