⚡Stormchaser - Poster

Drak here! Because I've been so enamored with Norael and Reverich lately, and I had a blank spot on my wall, I decided I wanted to go all in on a poster. Whenever I had a bit of extra time I'd pick at it, so it took quite a while whew

I thought of it as a poster for them as a ship, and that's where I got the title, Stormchaser. It being applicable in several ways, Nor being a dragon with lightning/storm powers, Reverich as the dragonslayer hunting her, and IRL a Stormchaser is "a person who travels to locations where a tornado or other severe weather is forecast, as a hobby or in order to photograph or study it." which lines up well as he does admire her >:)

I took inspiration from a lot of retro fantasy posters, though I wish I'd tried to copy the painting styles but that would require learning a whole lot more. I'm fine with it coming across as more of an anime poster (and hey it does look great on my wall).

The text refers to Reverich's nature as a clone, a homunculus, with several iterations, mixed genes, and augmentations. Paired with his cold-heartedness and love for violence, it becomes hard to categorize him as a human. At the same time, Norael is a monster (dragon) in the body of a human, ruthless and prone to angry and violence but still seeking connection deep down. If there was a slider for Human <-------> Dragon, they both come from each extreme and meet in the middle.

They also do revel in fighting one another, though in different ways. Reverich longs to feel something, otherwise numb and lacking purpose, so he's often dancing with death (sneaky Rev-themed song insert) to feel alive. Meanwhile Norael kinda wants the opposite, she has so many troubling emotions and thoughts that she just wants to shut out all the noise and go numb in a berserk type frenzy, where she lets her animal instincts take the wheel.

What really makes it intimate is the admiration and respect they develop for each other, even if Reverich has the upper hand as he is insanely powerful, (we're talking final boss stats here) so Norael does also fear him, but his intimidating aura makes her attraction to him stronger cause she's a hopeless bratty sub. The intimacy is strengthened more when they end up in situations where they don't fight each other, and sometimes even have to take care of one another, like when Norael crashes their flying ship after she was captured, they landed in the ocean and he had to save her from drowning (she can't swim </3).

Another scenario I loved exploring with Llama was her having to disguise herself as one of his soldier to sneakily escape a base without being noticed. This would be later on so their relationship dynamics are more established.

Basically, Norael disguises herself in full armor, visor down, barely speaking except for short grunts, and manages to stand in formation right under Rev's nose while he gives orders, but he's getting distracted by one particular soldier's mouth and thinking 'wait this guy's sexy' cause of something in his brain that subconsciously remembers. Recognizing her fangs perhaps. Annoyed, he singles her out for busywork and minor punishment, forcing her to swallow her pride and follow orders.

She's even pulled into assisting him while he bathes, standing behind him while he is relaxed and vulnerable, steam filling the room as she freezes for several long seconds debating whether she could actually kill him before choosing to keep up the act. Later, Norael sneaks into his quarters just to mess with him, trashes the room, and leaves behind a "gift" (it's her underwear okay! they've fucked before at this point).

When she's told to go scrub his armor, she's had enough and dumps the work on some other soldier. And Rev notices it's a different guy than the one he assigned the task to. So he's like 'what happened to that man. I didn't assign this to you. Where did he go!' Knocking his ass over and stomping, chasing. He thinks he's schizo cause it has to be her and he can't relax til he proves it is.
He tracks her down and corners her in a restricted hallway where she's not even supposed to be. There he demands she remove her helmet as she stands there stiffly, sweating bullets, only for a rush of people to spill out of an elevator and let her escape right in front of him. As it happens, he catches a flash of her unmistakably blue eyes through the visor as she looks back. He spirals, forcing inspections, punishing soldiers at random, sketching her face from memory to spread posters, and locking the place down.

It's during this he goes back to his room to find it thrashed B)
He's taken aback by the sudden mess and it's all triggering things telling him someone is fucking with him. He's throwing stuff around in a rage looking for anything identifiable before finding her panties, clearing the hair from his face to grip it.
Gotta go dragon hunting, uses tracking dogs, pulling out all the stops. It'd drive him totally nuts thinking about seeing her doing all that, knowing it was her. He's gonna unleash on her, blow some wall down with a big explosion just to get to her! Make her regret pushing his buttons so hard.

Which reminds me, he's never trying to kill her, just capture as per his orders. Normally he does kill dragons for their Soul Crowns (think elemental magic core), but his kingdom wants their own dragon to control and use for war, and they have several dragon eggs they've procured in the past. So they're focusing a lot of effort into dragon research for the sake of hatching these eggs.
They've tried to tame dragons in the past but they are stubborn, prideful, dangerous, and very hard to capture without killing. Norael happens to be a dragon who is very capturable in her cursed human form :) (In comparison to other dragons that is, because Rev isn't exactly having the easiest time with her)

But yeah, they think they can learn a lot from her, whether that is torturing her for secret dragon lore or picking her apart in a lab (COUGH or seeing if Rev can breed with her to create a powerful human-giant-dragon hybrid COUGH) is uncertain...

Anyway, I didn't mean to write so much but this tends to happen lol... I'm even restraining myself from mentioning another scenario cause it's something I wanna draw a picture for before blabbing about it.

Not anything this complex though haha, I had my fill for now!
