Before Patreon, Forbidden Frontiers was crowdfund by a group of individual. Depend on amount donated, you get a perk to write lore for the setting, etc. One of the perk was to be able to design your own unique character that will appear in the story. Kalista was one such character, design by Pyrohawk(Pyro).

Kallista Auberon is the heir to House Auberon, a renown noble house in the Coalition of Free Nations and head of the Auberon Airship Company. Kallista was the youngest of three siblings and always looked at as the runt of the three. She was smaller than her sister and often was not allowed to participate in social events or make public appearances due to her supposed “birth defects”. Kallista grew up absorbing books in her family library whereas her older brother and sister ran the family business. At age 12, Kallista’s father, brother, and sister were assassinated by half-blood sympathizers mainly due to Kallista’s father being one of the primary advocates for the extermination of half-bloods to “keep the bloodlines pure”. 

After becoming the heir to House Auberon, Kallista set her sights on proving herself for all the years of neglect by her family and avenge her older brother, who was the only person to love and care for Kallista. Using her extensive knowledge from years of bookworming in the library, Kallista forged a set of armor that would soon become her nickname: Silver Lightning. She then spent many years training her body and overcoming her “defects” to become the towering elven amazon everyone knows her for today. Kallista set out to destroy the half-blood sympathizers who murdered her family, fully eradicate the half-bloods, and conquer the “forbidden frontiers”. 

Using House Auberon’s resources and wealth, Kallista created her own private mercenary army and secured contract work with the elven government. Soon, Auberon Airship Company doubled as Auberon Security Co. and Kallista’s mercenary army grew. Despite not holding any position in the elven government, Kallista holds great pull on many of the politicians by doing their dirty work that the regular elven army would not take on.

This was to be her story in Forbidden Frontiers but with the project on hold indefinitely, This will be my compensation for Pyro. A long overdue one at that(10+ years. Ouch!)
