First two days in Thailand and we've found and photographed 15 snakes, 9 different species, and 6 species I haven't seen before in the wild. The highlight so far was this 7 1/2 foot reticulated python.
MY FIRST MISTAKE was putting a banded kukri snake in a pillow case with several other small snakes. The kukri is named ofter the Indian knife due to the shape of its slicing fangs. Long story short, things didn't end well for the cute little slug eating snake he was with, RIP. The water snake has a couple nasty chomp marks, but I think he'll recover. Lesson learned.
STILL NO SIGN OF A COBRA. Gonna organize the clips, take a nap, and hit the jungle again tonight with the flashlights. Where are you Ophiophagus hannah?
