June 26 - Chasing Wisconsin?

Good morning patrons! Today I join up with Dr. Anton Seimon’s scientific field operations team again. Is I’m third in forecast command, I’m not sure where we’ll be chasing today, but will update in this thread when possible.

HEADS OR TAILS?

HEADS: At a glance, the highest supercell tornado potential appears to be near Milwaukee where surface winds are more favorable (backing) and storms could get a kick from a lake breeze before sailing into Lake Michigan. Short slow window for that...

TAILS: In eastern Iowa the terrain is certainly more inviting and the team could spend more quality time should a discreet storm hang around, but the winds are less favorable (veering) there.

Place your bets!

FYI: backing angling in left, veering means turning right.

Comments

I seem to remember having heard somewhere that the Netherlands, like Britain, has a high number of tornadoes per square kilometer but a low annual number

Hi Pecos Hank, just wanted to say me and my two young children enjoy your tornado and lighting video's! Greetings from the Netherlands (where luckily we never have tornado's, which is good as we live packed in this little country :). Cheers!

Heading for the storms in Montana or Wyoming on Sunday. Gonna take my time and enjoy the prairie today. Hopefully score you some fun wildlife.
