New Years Eve Chase - Swamp Fever
Added 2020-12-31 10:50:36 +0000 UTCLooks like I'm being suckered into chasing this morning / afternoon. The close proximity tornado threat to my hometown Houston is overruling the horrible chase conditions. But what if???
The cellular storm mode / stovepipe dream appears to begin around 10-11am near our Bay area progressing eastward across the Sabine into Louisiana. There might be a window of 3-4 hours of prefrontal cellular storms before it all goes goobliglosh. Perhaps later developments / forecasts will carry the quasi-tornado threat further east. There will likely be several tornado warnings inside low contrast scuddy mush over either swamp lands or pine forests. Yay.

I don't chase after winter storms, too much cloud soup. Murky grey blah. Even if there is lightning the bolts rarely come out of the clouds. That said, I am happy to have winter storms when we can get them since rain is a seldom occurrence here in the desert. Especially lately.
