Power has been out for 2 days here in Houston and last night it got down to around 13F / -10C. Above is every blanket we own and as much clothes as you can wear, still allowing you to reach your socks. Spirits are still very high though we might lose some precious tropical trees and vintage pipes.

The gas stove has been a godsend. Imagine all this with no coffee. Below is a taco we found on the sidewalk...

I think of Houston as an energy capital, however when it goes below 0C, we collapse. Once power comes back on, and the temps warm, I'm anticipating several trips to a depleted home depot. To think all you guys up north who thrive in this kinda stuff every year... I tip my hat.

So, that's my excuse for not having "Tornadoes of 2020" ready. If any other Southerners want to vent your winter frustrations, I'd be happy to listen, but keep in mind, there are Northeners listening too. Is it storm season yet?
