TORNADOES 2020 Sneak Peek (with a catch)

Hello Everyone,

Hope you're doing well out there and not as helpless as us Texans.  We were without electricity in 10F weather, no water and no Netflix... Just like camping. But we got it all back now and our old house held it together.

Here's a sneak peek of the next video.  If you can help me out with suggestions for my backyard I'd appreciate it.  Probably nothing  I can do but wait.

Hang in there and stay warm.

Hank

Well Hank I will do my best to help you. I had an organic garden when we lived on the UCI campus. This will work for all gardens. We purchased compost from a mushroom farm that also had chicken manure in it. I didn’t buy directly out garden manager did, so I don’t know exactly what was in the mushroom compost but it worked great & was smell free. If we didn’t get mushroom compost for one reason or another I would buy compost & manure at Home Depot. Not my favorite option. I had lizards in my garden, I loved those little guys. Never thought to get friendly with them. Too bad they can’t help with gophers! As for the orange & lime trees, the Farmers here, put heating barrels in the orchards to protect them. But they do that before there’s a frost happens when there’s a warning. And we never get snow or ice in Southern California. I hear one year they had a giant frost in Florida & it ruined their crops once. But our farmers here are proactive. They save their citrus, avocados & nut trees. I know, I grew up just north of Detroit & my mom had the most beautiful flower gardens & my dad grew the veggies. He grew up on a farm & mom lived in town back in North Dakota. I know when frost were happening, my mom would cover her Mums & marigolds with straw to save them. But you are suppose to get snow in Detroit. I have no idea if your trees will recover or not. But I think they will. You just won’t get citrus this year. I think the umbrella plant is dead, your palm will also recover. I have a friend in The Woodlands who Iis not happy either.

I'm known for my black thumb, so no help there. I just wanted to tell you how happy I am that one of your lizards (anole?) is named Abby. I have a 7 y/o granddaughter named Abby. Since I have 5 grandkids, I can't say if she's my favorite or not but she's a very cool human. Good luck with your plants. I hope Houston gets and stays seasonally warm.
