Storm Chase March 25 - MS/AL/TN

Looks kinda familiar doesn't it?   I'm scrambling to head out for tomorrow's target and forgot to pay attention to today.  Lonely supercells crawling across Texas right now.

So let's get this started.  Right now I'm expecting numerous messy cells with a few supercells racing northeast.  The odds of scoring are low, but with chasers scattered everywhere somebody outa get lucky. Hope it's me.   I'll update tomorrow morning with a target area assuming I don't oversleep.  Be safe Dixie!

i hope you kept safe! this is my first time ever subbing to someone on patreon and it's because i just showed like three of your videos to my dad and sister at the dinner table and was just pumped about everything you showed to the point of speechlessness! you're one of my favorite youtubers!

I was no where near it but they are calling it an EF4. I watched it on RadarScope from Alabama to Fayetteville. I was texting friends and family like mad. I’ve heard of one death, which is honestly amazing. The high school got it again for the 2nd time in 6 months but the first one was EF0. I have a friend who lives across from the high school. Her yard is nothing but huge old oaks and they are all gone and one went through her sunroom but other than that none of them hit the house. My brother-in-law’s rental house lost a wall. They have called a local state of emergency. I just stayed home since I can barely lift the chainsaw we have much less use it. I think at this point if you’re not helping, get out of the way. I’ve never been so thankful for RadarScope in my life. Nights like that one are why I became an armchair meteorologist. I was scared of them and wanted the power of information and it really helped me and some others too. I knew 45 minutes ahead that it was there and headed towards most of my friends and family. I started looking at pictures this morning and had to stop. It was just too close. I love the city of Newnan. I think we have the prettiest town square in Georgia. But all of the people is what had me worried. I know a man from my church who is in his late 60’s, early 70’s and he was out at 1am checking on everyone he knew. I didn’t even think to update because my mind was kinda fried. I’ve always known I could not bring myself to run towards a storm but I am usually curious about the aftermath but I just couldn’t look today. Hank, how do you do it? It affected me a lot and I never left my house. What you do is important. I think that you and other chasers have really brought in a lot of new information that helps give more warning time. Keep up the good work. I can definitely see it as being “work” and having a psychological impact on you.
