Today's Chase - West TX
Added 2021-05-17 17:31:46 +0000 UTCYesterday had it all. Tornadoes, supercell structure with crazy sunset colors, lightning and sprites. Just finished four hours of footage. I'm well rested and ready to meet up with Anton, Tracie, Jennifer and Skip to begin our field data collecting campaign. Heads up, it's difficult to complete our mission in late May chaser crowds, so we sometimes pick a secondary target. This could mean we miss obvious tornadoes, or score sneaky back door ones.
Didn't have time to view much of yesterday's footage, however here are a few weirdos of the dozens of sprites captured last night. Good luck today Chasers!

By the way, the sprite photos are SPECTACULAR!!! Makes our northern lights on this side of the pond look like a small side show... :P
