TODAY CO (A) or KS/NE (B)? Place Your bets!

Colorado is the safe bet today (pair of kings) with a photogenic icy HP supercell evolving.

KS/NE triple point has crazy energy (4-5K j/kg), good storm relative helicity but a strong cap (700mb temps 13-14 decrees celsius).  Here, we've flopped and turned a split royal flush.

Today I meet back up with the team.  Decision by committee to commence shortly.

Do we choose "A" the safe bet, or go for all the glory and choose "B" ???

*Updates posted in this thread when possible.

"And got attached like a virus" that's interesting. How did that manfiest itself? Like, did you find you were increasingly unable to think about anything else? And, did anything rise up in you? (Did people say at work that you'd lit up like a Christmas tree, or anything??) And how did it continue to play out, was it you were feeling for something? Hope it's OK to ask, I'm fascinated and totally in awe of your adventures. When it was running along the road, was it chasing YOU??

I'm using the GFS, NAM, RAP and HRRR, plus some of Skip Talbot's forecasting models. I was watching the radar all morning at work and saw this cell and got attached like a virus. Chased it for about 4 hours

How did you find that storm? Were you using scientific equipment like Hank, or some other method?

Got my pair of kings...and MORE! I actually took a hit from a 90mph microburst, the storm was going right along the road I was on, no roads south, no roads north. Ended up under a church overhang in Kansas somewhere, sheltering my...rental car...from the hail. Ended up breaking the driver's side window. That'll be fun to explain to them tomorrow...and why I have 1000 more miles on the car in just 2 days.
