Song of the Month - Here's Looking at You

For those who are more into the Rock n Roll... We recorded this song back in 2004 and here we are taking it on tour in NYC in 2006. You might recognize the breakdown / violin section in several storm videos over the years. I wrote the lyrics about a girl struggling with anorexia nervosa.

Our producer Dan Workman suggested we commission a guy named Kevin Ryan to compose the orchestration for this song... Which he knocked out of the park. Kevin was a young 25 or so at the time and was just wrapping up a book he co-authored called "Recording the Beatles." You can order a copy on Amazon.com now for around $800.00 The man is an all-around genius and you guys have probably seen his comedic work on YouTube. His mother lost her hearing but was able to read lips. Perhaps worried about this condition genetically trickling down to him, he decided to get a head start on lip reading. He watched TV shows on mute to train himself to read lips... But he wasn't as good as his mother. I think that's how the story goes. Anyway, the byproduct of this was a little Youtube channel called "Bad Lip Reading." Perhaps you've heard of it?
