This pandemic is looking to effect all of us, if not directly, indirectly. I think this is an important and informative video. There's a lot more to this interview you can see on Rogan's youtube channel for more information.
Will the coronavirus interrupt storm chasing?
How about a little thought experiment about how to storm chase during a pandemic assuming it hasn't escalated to extreme levels yet and that no loved ones are sick at home.
Can you storm chase (in my case work) without having direct contact with people???
Yep! been there done that. One could avoid people completely by sleeping in the car and stashing canned goods. Tuna, cereal and what not have worked for me in the past.
The only indirect contact one would have with other people is gasoline nozzles. Sitting on a toilet would be a difficult luxury to pass up, but can be avoided. I think that would be low risk anywhere, especially in Tornado Alley. Hell, it might even be more safe under a mesocyclone than the toilet paper isle at Kroger in the months to come.
Hoping like hell with all my heart this is more bark than bite, but let's all take necessary precautions. So too shall this pass.
