March 30 Chase - Potential tornado outbreak
Added 2023-03-31 14:57:02 +0000 UTCAnother round of long tracking tornado potential today. I committed to the southern end of the 10-15% Sig Tor outlook since it’s closer to Houston. Current thoughts are to get to Little Rock by early afternoon.
CAMS are resolving significant early storm activity and possible early QLCS (line) formation in western Arkansas. This usually shunts tornado activity, however strong tornadoes can still get down in todays atmosphere. Very dangerous chasing scenario especially with storms moving 50+ mph. But at least it’s day time.
Further north might even be more fast and furious. Trying to keep up with these cells is a great way to crash into somebodies life. Gonna mantra “just let it go” today.

2023-04-01 07:05:57 +0000 UTCHad to seek shelter in my hotel in MS as a tornado warned storm passed by. Strong RFD winds freaked people out. You wouldn’t believe what the hotel was calling shelter. I was hoping to edit this all tonight but I don’t think that’s gonna happen. Thanks everyone for the info. Rough day for a lot of people.

2023-04-01 06:35:09 +0000 UTCI'm all the way up in kokomo, Indiana, and I was sheltered in my bathroom. Possible tornado passed south of my house. I'll have to read reports tomorrow, but the kokomo scanner is currently reporting downed houses along a block.

People possibly were attending a live concert..
