April 28 Hail Bash Chase
Added 2023-04-28 14:17:51 +0000 UTCThere may be a small window for big storms to burrito today before being undercut by cold outflow. There also may be several windows bashed in by large hail stones. The current target couldn't appear more obvious and concentrated, west and southwest of Ft Worth. If current models verify, we won't have to worry about the Event Horizon / DFW rush hour traffic.
Storm initiation is modeled to be around 3-4PM and then we're expecting a surging squall line or segments developing rather quickly. Maybe leave the shiny car in the garage today.

Had a tornado for a little bit but yeah. Impossiblento see. Radar was the only indicator it was OTG. And it was hard to tell even from that. Goodnight hank.

2023-04-29 01:03:15 +0000 UTCWas on the supercell from beginning to end. Was really spinning but I couldn’t confirm a tornado. Then it went rain wrapalooza. Beautiful blue turquoise core. Perhaps a neato funnel. Will crack open footage tomorrow. Hoping for lightning tonight.

I wasn’t willing to core punch to get south of the burrito warned storm so guess I will have to just enjoy some rain and occasional CG.
