May 13 Iowa & Yesterday's Wedgie

Yesterday routed me to the ugly side of this fatty near Oakland and Lyons Nebraska.  Got lots of pretty scary footage that was more hurricane like than tornado.  This is my tenth tornado of the year, all non-photogenic.    We've all been working really hard for these tornadoes this year and I'm probably not alone in saying that I've effectively been positioned well inside 20 tornado warnings in the last 3 days. Huge congrats to those that scored the pretty shots this outbreak! You deserve em.

Today in Iowa doesn't appear as spicy as yesterday, but similar chasing.  Like the SPC said, finding pockets of heating is likely the key.  So for now, my target is in the middle of the 5% outlook, then drive back and forth and to and fro inside it.

Good luck hard core chasers!

I’m just seeing that. Is anyone chasing these storms?

Potential mini tri-state tornado in Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia. We’ll see.

That one looks super nasty. But we know you will get great footage. Be safe!

Well, I guess doinky doodle is better than diddly squat! It just seemed off today. Did you chase the storms SE of Des Moines or NW up by Spencer?

Brenda
