Brenda, thank you! I don’t think we stop. I love seeing them fly but dang I just miss having him around. We homeschooled all the way through so we were together all the time and I treasured that time. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy having a chance to chase a few of my own dreams now, but after all those years and now both are graduated and in college it is quite the adjustment. I didn’t go to college but I do recall that being 22 and enjoying independence for the first time was way more fun than being the mom letting go of said 22 year old 😂😂😂. But it is a natural and normal part of life and it’s a good thing even if it is hard. Thank the Lord for dogs :)

But do we really stop being crazy mother hens? My oldest will be 36 in June and my baby will be 29 in July. It does get easier once you can see that they’re able to spread their wings and fly. I guess that’s a good analogy unless you are a bird, like a chicken, that can’t really fly very well. 🤣🤣🤣
