YETI - April 22 Storm Chase & Yesterday

Yesterday was the premiere of "The Ballad of Pecos Hank" at the 5point film festival in  Carbondale Colorado. They generously offered to fly my out & hook me up in a fancy hotel if I showed up and said a few words after the film.  I respectfully passed up the offer, food, booze and schmooze to chase yesterday's storms.   Here's the trailer with fellow Patron cameo from Aman :D

Between us, I'm not cool with my choice of wording on my last line.  If I could go back I'd say it like this... "Some people hunt deer, some complete asshole tiny douchebags hunt lions.  We hunt tornadoes."

Here are some raw video grabs of the LP supercell yesterday in Kansas with zero color enhancement, contrast and other photoshop magic.

TODAY it appears I'll be heading into the Texas panhandle.  Optimistic for another round of Low Precipitation (LP) supercells there.  Thanks for all you have done guys!

God I hope I can get this in Australia, when it becomes available

Fantastic pics!

High based low precip supercell today in the TX panhandle. Nothing too amazing. Highlight was a big prairie rattler. More tomorrow. Goodnight everyone.

And is that skinny sliver of Oklahoma also called a ‘panhandle.’

High definition filming of you filming the twisted beasts? What’s not to love? Let us know when it arrives in cinemas in Australia. I want the full experience and surround sound.

Those are impressive and a few are starting to fire in central Nebraska up into SD. The storm west of Huron, SD looks very intense.

Pretty impressive line of supercells popping up from south of Amarillo, through the Oklahoma Panhandle, and all the way through Kansas... just about all of them severe

Out there I have seen pictures of just Gnary dust storms

Hope you’re not getting pounded by huge hail!!

Anyone who's followed you for more than five minutes will automatically hear the missing (yet implied) words preceding "...hunt lions..." And that's some stunning light play you captured on that supercell, especially the fiery tangerine cotton candy shot!
