Nov 4 Tornadoes ???

There's a good tornado threat tomorrow in the ArkLaTex (Arkansas - Louisiana - Texas vicinity).  My current target is starting near i20 east of Dallas perhaps around Canton. Expecting a messy, rainy atmosphere in extremely difficult chasing terrain (TREES!!! AHHH!!!).  This is my turf and I've fared well here in the past, however...

The cheat sheet above has been forecasting storms moving 45-50 mph.  The hodograph (circle chart top right)has some white text by a blue line that says "228/43 RM." The 43 is the calculated storm cell velocity for this location at this time... 43 knots (49 mph). RM is Right Mover.  The white text above "195/54 LM" is the calculations for the Left Mover. After a storm splits, the Left split / Mover generally races off much faster and is very unlikely to tornado.  So we mainly focus our attention on the Right split, or Right Mover (RM).

Let's use this thread to discuss tomorrow's event as it unfolds. My strategy will be live to fight another day.  That means resisting the urge to push deep into the wrapping rain or driving recklessly fast trying to keep up.

Good luck Fall chasers!
