It's really quite strange that Blue is one of the last characters to be coloured in and one of the first characters that was sketched. Logic tells me this is because Wagner started the initial sketches but when he got busy I had Jonas come in to complete the work.
I thought you might enjoy a little insight into the process which finalised Blue's character.
I started by referring Wagner to Falvie's art :
"Similar to this without the sabre teeth:"

I am sure you all recognise Wagner's initial sketch for Blue:

When Jonas picked up the pencil, my focus was more on his uniform:

Lovely looking boy but something was missing. He's the security officer, so he needs a bit of a police-esque uniform:

Perfect! The "S" stands for security and I feel just a little bit uncomfortable about the possible accidental reference to the "SS" but I left that in.
The lined edition. For some reason I actually love the sketches more than I love the clean lines. Somehow they appear to have more character.

And there you have it, a finished concept for Blue.
As I have described in the past, Blue met Red at the academy, but they weren't really friends. Blue couldn't really bring himself to associate with a fox - "far too much like a cat for my liking". That's what his father would have said.
As an ISTJ, Blue is a model citizen: loyal, respectful, duty-bound to a fault. He could never disgrace his family name or jeopardise his position in society by going after a fox. That said, somewhere in his highly practical but somewhat amoral mind, he came up with a scenario where he could have what he wanted without having to feel guilty about it.
Anyway, I like this image of Blue. He seems attractive, confident and maybe just a little bit dangerous.
