No time for a proper forecast so I’m going to roll with the SPC and the CAMS again today. If I leave in 30, I might get to Colorado in time for the possible supercells.
Yesterday’s was a good storm to not be aggressive with. The Large RFD was laying down power lines and large trees alone. Here’s a video grab of the large tornado cyclone and tornado.
Looks like a long drive back to Iowa tomorrow.

2024-05-21 14:15:49 +0000 UTCHopefully most of you got more sleep than we did in NW Omaha! What the HAIL!! Severe thunderstorms with 2 rounds of hail. Too wet & too tired to go out & see if we have damage. Flash Flood Warning continues til 4PM today as more rain expected & then 2 insignificant Tornado Warnings blaring on my phone. At least I was still awake for 1 of them. Ended up sleeping in the recliner so I could watch local TV weather most of the night. I really hate overnight storms! Good luck today IA chasers. I have a feeling there could be some big burritos out there!
