Yesterdays TORNADO (and todays chase)

Afternoon Patrons,

Just a quick ping with a link to yesterday’s score. Congrats to all who got to marvel it. I’m slowly rolling toward the developing storms today after downloading , editing and uploading til 7am this morning.

DFW Friday holiday weekend traffic does not look inviting so I might aim at a wild card to the north.

Rest up guys. Big potential tomorrow

Looking like today will be busy for you. NOAA popped a moderate area over OK and KS… High risk for everything!!!

What a spectacular tornado! Congratulations on all your burritos this year! This year sure seems to be making up for all those "ugly" tornados last year. Hope to maybe get one more chase in before the season wraps up. Please stay safe out there.

Nice video Hank! That was a great visual display of how tornadoes can morph into various shapes and change directions, which would be my biggest fear while chasing. Overnight, there were Derecho conditions all throughout the Omaha, NE metro, with Papillion reporting highest wind speed of 82 mph! Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue reported 68 mph. Where I live in NW Omaha, NE, we had strong wind gusts & sheets of rain, but the thunder and lightning display is what was amazing. It was so close at times, it would light up the whole house. We were under a Tornado Warning for a while, but I’m not aware of any near Omaha.

Brenda

Great vid! Amazing capture for so long and it changed shape a few times. 😁🌪️

Janine Moss

Beautiful footage!

Holy smokes! That’s a lot of big sky full of tornado fuel! Your vids are always awesome, Hank. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us everywhere. I have learned so much about tornadoes and how they‘work’ from you. I saw someone watching a weather report on tv and mentioned the hook echo and later the debris ball. The others watching stared at me for a moment as if to say, “Oh, you’re one of THOSE weather enthusiasts.” Yep. Turns out. Happy Trails, everyone. 😁

Laurentia McIntosh

Stay safe everyone!!
