New Single Mp3 & more

Howdy Patrons,

We release 2 new singles including this one at Dan Electros Guitar Bar in Houston Friday night, but you guys get it now. Your free mp3 is in the attachments below, or you can just listen from the YouTube link above.

"Give Us Strength" is a straight up classic rock vibe from the late 60s / early 70s. I can already hear the intro instrumental section in "Tornadoes of 2024" when we're driving far away from home in the Northern Plains. Perhaps I can shoehorn in my wailing Keith Richards style guitar solo as well.

I wrote this song over 20 years ago back when we'd been blacklisted from pretty much every club from San Antonio to Baton Rouge for our wild-child antics. Volleying fun insults at the crowd, setting off fire extinguishes for stage effects and diving into tables full of bottles to name a few.

If Jim Morrison did it, It was our job to do it too. Our producer Dan Workman sat us down and scolded "That only works when you're famous." He was right.

As you can probably hear, this wasn't a cheap production. I hired the best studio recording artist in Houston namely Steve Christensen and brought in John Evans from Nashville to produce it / make sure I didn't muck it up. Your support made this possible.

Lyrics are in the YouTube video description if you wanna sing along.

A NEW YOUTUBE VIDEO should be completed this week as well...

Thank you so much everyone.

Keep it up Hank. When you coming to Australia?. You would sell out I reckon. Make sure you make it to Melbourne. Take care and keep pumping those tunes out. x

All the musicians that were more effectively "Functioning" seem to be the ones that are still around today. The Devil-may-careers seemed to burn out fast. Many died. There might be a parallel in behavior with the new generation of chasers. Addiction to attention fueling excessive behavior. Lots more cautionary tales likely blowing in the wind. Thanks Wendy

Great stuff. I'm not at all surprised to hear about how nuts your shows used to be, but I'm glad you found some chill along the way. Everyone with even a single creative bone in their body gets sold on the idea that suffering and chaos fuel creativity, and that the well will run dry in their absence. I've personally found that the more I've emerged from those things, the better my creative output has become, if for no other reason than that I have the mental energy and funds to follow through with my ideas. Seems the case with my musician friends as well. They might not be living out the dreams they had when we were all young and f'ed up, but they are gigging a helluva lot more, and they seem to be enjoying it more as well.
