Good Morning Patrons,
Today there is a moderate risk of significant tornadoes in the Deep South. The Convective Allowing Models (CAMS) are currently resolving very messy scenarios with lower discrete supercell activity. This might change as the day grows. Regardless, the potential for dangerous tornadoes exists in a messy convective band and open warm sector south of the band.
Past scenarios similar to this have lured me into aggressive jungle core punching and increased risk taking. Sunk costs and hubris can also deceptively tempt pointless stupidity. So today I plan to hold the reigns tight, let go of desire and trot east along with the likely mess patiently waiting for something discrete to present itself. Expectations low.
Heads up Southerners, Good luck 2024 stragglers!
