There is no Drug in my Cooking! Chapter 25

Once some spiders open their hearts to humans, they become shameless!
Ichiyo remembered that there was a clause in the summoning contract that stated something about an increase in the tacit understanding and goodwill between master and servant over time. However, he had observed that this clause had not seemed to have any effect after a long period of time and had thought it was useless. But now, after spending some time with Kumoko, he realized that it may have had a stronger effect on her than he had initially believed.
Ichiyo remembered that when Kumoko was first summoned, the spider, although talkative, was still somewhat wary of him. The next day, her mood calmed down, she talked less and appeared to be suffering from social phobia. But today, after a few meals and without using any drugs or mood-enhancing buff, Ichiyo was able to tame this spider.
Ichiyo feels that this world is pretty ridiculous.
The horizon had already brightened, Ichiyo thought for a moment and then went to the kitchen. He took out the bottle of high-quality sake loved by the water goddess that he had drawn earlier, opened it, and poured himself a glass.
Ichiyo realized that the taste of the sake was just average, not as special as he had imagined. The goddess who loved this sake may not be a reliable person in terms of her taste in alcohol.
He had thought that since the wine was loved by a goddess, it would have some special effects or could potentially even make people live longer.
Noticing Kumoko's longing gaze toward the bottle of wine, Ichiyo offered it to her, "Want to drink some?"
The spider wiggled her little butt, appearing a bit hesitant, "I'm not of age yet..."
Ichiyo: "..."
Ichiyo took back the bottle of wine, "Well then, you shouldn't drink, it's not good for your brain, you're already dumb enough, if you drink more you'll be even dumber, what will happen if you get eaten by a frog when you go back?"
Kumoko stared open-mouthed at Ichiyo as he smoothly explained with a serious face. She felt more and more certain that this guy was very bad!
This is the modesty of a young lady!
Do you understand modesty?!!?
In the end, Kumoko couldn't help but be curious and took a sip of the wine. However, her body couldn't handle the alcohol and she began to sway.
"Kumoko, do you know what the most effective hunting method for spiders is?" Ichiyo looked at the spider who was lying next to him and silently moved his hips a little further away from her.
He is a serious summoner, this thing is not a little dragon that can transform into a beautiful girl.
So they should keep their distance!
"Hm?"
As Ichiyo spoke, the drowsy spider perked up and turned its gaze toward him. A swirling vortex of purple and red magic materialized beneath it, signaling the end of its time in that world.
"Nature can be harsh, and in order to survive, some creatures that are not well-suited for direct confrontation may evolve unique abilities that aid in their protection and increase their hunting proficiency." Ichiyo advised Kumoko, "Concealment and poison are among the most prevalent adaptations among weaker creatures in the wild. These survival tactics are also excellent starting points for you to consider as you develop your own abilities."
"Hm?"
The spider appeared confused, its groggy expression adorned with a foolish grin as it approached the chef who was known for creating delicious meals. Observing the spider's demeanor, Ichiyo shook his head in disappointment, muttering under his breath "You can't teach this child!"
With a swift kick, Ichiyo sent the spider soaring through the air toward the teleportation circle, which glowed a deep purple-red hue. In an instant, the drunken spider was transported back to its own world. Ichiyo then calmly set about cleaning up the debris left behind from his grilling. His alcohol tolerance was not as weak as Kumoko.
Once everything was tidied up, Ichiyo retrieved his phone and dialed Mr. Tadokoro. He informed him of his plans for remodeling and requested his assistance in contacting the construction team. As for the three-story, single-unit building he had his eye on, he would contact the landlord and proceed with a purchase if necessary. Totsuki Gourmet Street had plenty of empty houses for sale, so as long as the price was reasonable, any buyer would be satisfied.
The majority of the residents in this area were primarily concerned with the convenience of having a variety of good restaurants in close proximity, rather than for sightseeing or other reasons.
As another day dawned, Mr. Tadokoro arrived as expected, this time accompanied by a man in overalls and a baseball cap. After they shook hands, Ichiyo explained his renovation plans and the engineer assessed the required work and provided a rough cost estimate. Satisfied that the difference was minimal and he wasn't being overcharged, Ichiyo gave his approval to proceed.
The construction of the project will start in the afternoon.
Ichiyo noticed that Mr. Tadokoro was a versatile individual, able to handle a wide range of tasks. Although his skills may not be particularly exceptional in any one area, he was a perfect fit as a second-in-command. Mr. Tadokoro's ability to help out with whatever was needed and provide valuable insight was invaluable to Ichiyo. On this particular morning, Mr. Tadokoro had been tasked with negotiating the purchase of the building behind his family's patisserie.
Before setting out on his task, Mr. Tadokoro turned to Ichiyo and asked, "Young master, if the price is within our budget, but the other party is unwilling to sell, what should we do?"
Ichiyo gestured to the ground beneath their feet and explained, "The family behind the development of this area is the Yukinoshita. They have recently moved here using their connections with the Chitanda and Nakiri families. So, you see."
Mr. Tadokoro candidly shook his head and admitted, "Sir, I'm not entirely sure what you mean."
Upon hearing Mr. Tadokoro's response, Ichiyo's expression stiffened and his mouth twitched. Ichiyo realized that perhaps Mr. Tadokoro was not as capable or reliable as he had originally thought.
Ichiyo replied to Mr. Tadokoro "Try to reason with them, appeal to their emotions if necessary. Not everyone in this world is stubborn. if they are, then we'll just buy the restaurant next door for our own use. If they're all unwilling, then we'll continue to expand our patisserie. The land here may not be ours, but it's not a big problem to make some changes."
We live in a society with laws, would we really sink someone into Tokyo bay if they don't agree?
What a joke, what era do you think this is? Plus, causing trouble in Totsuki's Gourmet street would be a direct challenge to the Totsuki Gourmet group's power. At most, we'll find out who they are and put pressure on them commercially. In modern society, even though many things cannot be done, there are still many things that can be done.
In this world, there are very few people who have no weaknesses at all.
Ichiyo climbed the stairs of the patisserie, eager to freshen up and take a nap. As he entered the room, he couldn't help but notice that the hanging flower, a rare specimen from the afterlife, seemed less vibrant than the day before. It hung listlessly as if drained of energy. Ichiyo suspected that the flower may have been absorbing the emotional fluctuations of customers as nourishment. After all, it was a flower from the underworld and anything was possible when it came to its mysterious powers.
With this thought in mind, Ichiyo descended the stairs and made the decision to keep the store open for a few more hours. He wanted to test if the increased number of customers would have an effect on the state of the flower. Furthermore, once the cooldown period for summoning Kumoko was over, he planned to feed her some of the flowers and test their effects on her. After all, he detested the feeling of not understanding the things around him and was determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Ichiyo opened the door of the patisserie, and soon a few scattered customers started to trickle in. Although the initial excitement of the opening day had dissipated, the second day still saw a steady stream of visitors. Though it was not as crowded as the day before, it was still a decent amount of customers.
Interestingly, today's customers were quite different from yesterday's crowd. In addition to the usual group of young women, there were many more male figures among the visitors. It was not surprising to Ichiyo, as it was a common fact that many places, including nightclubs and bars, would attract a larger number of male customers with the presence of young and beautiful women. It's one of the reasons why many establishments offer discounts or special promotions for female customers, to attract both men and women.
As Ichiyo occasionally let out a yawn, he continued to focus on creating various pastries. Suddenly, there was a burst of excited chatter and screams from the area near the pastry display case. Curious, Ichiyo lazily looked over to see a lively young woman, dressed in a large sun hat, who seemed to be the source of the commotion.
