There is no Drug in my Cooking! Chapter 29

Erina, feeling cheerful, parked her car conveniently in a nearby spot near Ichiyo's patisserie. It was daytime and the lunch hour, so there were many people on the street, and it was not practical to park directly in front of the shop.

Despite her arrogant demeanor, Erina is a girl with many intricate feelings, and she is very thoughtful about the people she cares for. The only downside is that she struggles with expressing her emotions. But despite this, she is a good person at heart. Unfortunately, in the past, those who have been arrogant often ended up coming up short.

Erina was dressed in a spotless white chef's uniform today. She had chosen to wear her own clothes instead of borrowing from that person, just in case an unexpected situation occurred and she needed to get her hands dirty. Additionally, she found the chef's uniform belonging to Ichiyo to be too small in the chest area, making it uncomfortable to wear!

As Erina walked towards Ichiyo's patisserie, her heart was filled with joy, but her face remained calm. However, before she even stepped inside, she paused on the street, peering through the transparent tempered glass walls of the patisserie and she saw...

That person was surrounded by a group of girls and he wasn't putting up any resistance. Instead, he was chatting and laughing with them!

Erina's expression immediately turned cold, her lips became slightly pale, and she felt as if her heart had stopped. She had a choking sensation, feeling empty as if something has been taken away from her.

She had never considered having any kind of relationship with that guy and he doesn't belong to her, but...

She doesn't understand why it's affecting her like this, it's just a bit disconcerting. Erina's purple eyes fixed firmly on Ichiyo, who was talking about music with four high school girls inside the patisserie and she turned and walked silently towards the parking lot.

"Ichiyo! He has no appreciation for learning at all! I won't waste my time teaching him how to cook unless he realizes his own mistakes!" Erina thought to herself, feeling no sadness at all. She didn't have any reason to be sad!

It doesn't matter if there is anything between them or not, Her relationship with that person is just a charade, even if he is still technically her fiancé. It doesn't matter if he talks to other girls.

Inside the patisserie, Ichiyo suddenly frowned as he felt something, He looked up to the outside of the shop and saw that familiar figure, the disappointment and stubbornness in her eyes before she turned away.

The flowers on the table bloomed even more vibrantly and the fiery petals stretched freely, showing off the vitality of life to the fullest.

Ichiyo unconsciously holds his breath for a moment. His cheap sister-in-law, Alice has feelings of disappointment towards him?

Especially that gaze, why does it feel so resentful?

After all, she should be his rival!

Ichiyo glanced at the four girls beside him, who were staring at him with eager eyes. He probably understood the reason for Alice's expression. But as a rival, shouldn't she be happy seeing this scene?

Ichiyo felt a little confused, every time he thought he could understand a girl's thoughts, he would realize he didn't understand them at all. He wondered why the thoughts of girls were so complex. His sister-in-law is truly enigmatic!

Haughty, cute, thoughtful, considerate, and complex... She was difficult to understand!

He suddenly realized that it had been some time since they had last seen each other, he doesn't even have the phone number of his future wife or his sister-in-law and he felt like a bit of a failure.

If he had his sister-in-law's phone number, he could call her later and ask her what was going on. Ichiyo didn't really like girls showing expressions or gazes toward him as the one Alice had.

Beautiful things always move people's hearts and certain emotions can be contagious.

"Senpai, what's wrong?" Mio asked Ichiyo with concern, who was deep in thought.

Upon hearing this, Ichiyo regained his composure and looked at the other girls around him, they were also staring at him with worried expressions. He smiled and shook his head.

Ichiyo nonchalantly replied, "I'm good, just had an idea for the final piece of the score." He quickly jotted down the inspiration that came to mind before his sister-in-law interrupted, then examined the completed score and passed it along to the young woman.

"Take a look, is this okay?"

Tsumugi carefully examined the score as she flipped through the pages, occasionally humming the melody to herself, trying to visualize the rhythm in her mind.

Mio and Ritsu eagerly approached, their eyes scanning the score with growing satisfaction. As they read through the notes, their eyes sparkled with excitement, and they could hardly contain their anticipation to return to the music room and bring the score to life with their instruments.

While Mio and Ritsu were enthralled by the score, Yui's expression was that of anticipation, she walked up to Ichiyo and wrapped her arms around him. With an adorably pleading voice, she called out to him, "Senpai~"

Ichiyo's body tensed up in surprise, he knew that people don't go out of their way to be friendly for no reason, and it's even less likely for someone as carefree as Yui. He suspected that she must have an ulterior motive!

"Alright, out with it. What do you want?" Ichiyo asked.

Yui let out a small giggle, "Hehe~, well...senpai, I want to... "

"What is it?" Ichiyo prompted.

"Senpai, I want to learn how to play the guitar!" Yui said excitedly.

Ichiyo looked up at Yui, taking in her small and determined face. He was quiet for a moment as he pondered her request.

"Yui," Ichiyo began, "I have to be honest with you, learning guitar can be quite challenging."

Ichiyo picked up Yui's soft and tender hand, running his thumb over her delicate fingertips, sighing. "When you first start learning guitar, your fingers will be cut and bruised from playing the strings constantly, it's super painful. And even after your wounds heal, you will have thick calluses at the tips of your fingers that may affect your ability to find a boyfriend. Are you sure you still want to learn guitar?"

Yui was taken aback by Ichiyo's words, her face scrunched up in fear, and she took a few steps back. "That sounds really scary!" she exclaimed.

Yui hesitated for a moment, but when she saw her friends giving her encouraging glances, a burst of courage ignited in her heart. Tsumugi's gaze in particular, was particularly inspiring and encouraging.

Although Yui had only joined the light music club the day before, she already had many things that she didn't want to let go of, like her love for black tea, the delicious snacks...

"Will you still learn?"

With a determined look in her eyes, Yui nodded firmly. "I'll do it!"

Yui had no previous musical experience and was not familiar with sheet music. However, in order to fit in with the light music club, bond with her new bandmates, and work towards a common goal, she was determined to learn guitar!

Ichiyo took a sip of tea, remaining calm as he spoke. "If you still want to learn, I can teach you, but under two conditions. Are you willing to accept them?"

"I accept!" Yui, being silly and cute, eagerly nodded. She clenched her hands into small fists and placed them over her chest, ready to accept the conditions.

Ichiyo looked at Yui with an expression of helplessness, "I haven't even said what the conditions are yet, why are you so eager?"

Tsumugi and Mio watched the scene with a smile, they found it amusing and they also noticed that their senpai Ichiyo is not only easy going but also gentle and easy to talk to.

"As long as it's the teacher's request, I'll accept any condition!" Yui, silly as she may be, had a way of making hearts race with her words. Like right now!

Ichiyo shook his head, not dwelling too much on the thought. To him, Yui seemed more like a younger sister or daughter than a potential girlfriend. He raised two fingers and made the letter "V" sign,

Ichiyo continued, "The first requirement, if you want to learn guitar, you must at least have your own guitar."

Yui nods, "Okay, I understand, shisho!"

"The second requirement, I usually don't feel like going out for leisure, so if you want to learn guitar, you need to come here to find me. And you will have to help clean the store when you're learning guitar."

Yui nods, "Okay, shisho!"

"Oh, and one more thing, don't call me 'shisho' it makes me feel old," Ichiyo added

"Yes, shisho!" Yui replied with a smile.

Ichiyo: "..."

This child doesn't seem to be very bright!
